EX HOME CD NO #s

    I have a Windows XP Home edition upgrade CD,just the cd got it with a bunch of other CDs,I was wondering If there was a way to get the Product code or is this CD even usable anymore..thanks for lookin!!!

    You would need a Certificate of Authenticity or a product key from Microsoft, as the transferral of product keys should be done with the CD.

    Thanks..but as I said I got the CD at a rummage sale with a bunch of other pc cds and was wondering if there was a FRee way to use it thanks again!!!

    You are kinda up the creek with not having an install key. You could always call MS and ask for a key, which is probably the cheapest way to go. ( If you are thinking someone will explain how to hack it, that isn't going to happen.) :)

    Not a legal method that I can think of right now, sorry. Someone else may have a better idea, though so keep checking back.

    Found the product code now I can contact MS and get it to work hopefully...Thanks everyone for looking and trying to help..:major
