I have two files, one contract.docx and one estimate.xlsx in the same folder, say OrigFolder. There are links in contract.docx that are pasted from estimate.xlsx. When estimate.xlsx is updated, the contract is updated too.

I then copy the entire folder and rename it to NewFolder. When I copy the entire folder in Office 2003, the links in NewFolder\contract.doc refer to the newly copied NewFolder\estimate.xls.

In 2007, the pasted links in NewFolder\contract.docx stay pointed at the original OrigFolder\estimate.xlsx file, not NewFolder\estimate.xlsx. So, I have to go through and change the source file for each and every link each time I make a copy of the folder.

I want the links to follow along with the new directory. Any clues?

    HELP!!!

    Thanks a bunch.
