My PC uses XP. I have been able to run a personally created macro in Excel 2010 in the past but have not used them for some months.
I recently tried to run a personally created macro but it is not available - using Developer tab, code, macros. I tried re-creating it but could not save it in the Personal Macros Workbook as I was told that workbook must be open.
I can run the macros if I start Excel from double clicking Personal.xlsb, and I suppose that would be an option, but, after much browsing and checking advice given I am no nearer the answer.
Knowledgeable help would be greatly appreciated. :confused

    AtlBo thanks for the tip.

I have had a quick look and did not find an answer but, it was a quick look - I will spend more time with it later.

    Knowsum...

It's the best site eva for Excel advice, especially when it comes to macros.

For forumla help you can try here...

    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/excel

Also, the board is not up, right now, due a small situation with the host site, but, if you would like you can join the help board I started here:

    https://excelanon.onlinegroups.net/

Once the situation is settled, I hope to get the site to 1000 or so members. It will be project based (brainstorming and problem solving) and free with no advertisements. You could also check periodically to see if the board is back up and then join once it is if you like. I'll post an announcement once it's back.

The Microsoft sites above are worthy of the time required to create a Live account. All the help on these sites work for free, and they are extrememly devoted and helpful. Also, SkyDrive is part of the Live network. Very nice to be able to share spreadsheet information in blogs, etc. Highly recommend joining for these services...
