    Microsoft Basic Office 2003
    XP Windows (SP)

When I start the Excel program the Excel button appears on the Windows taskbar, but that is all. It does not display. I tried right-clicking and using maximized and restore. That didn't work.

I read in the microsoft support link of the same problem with the Word program. ( http://support.microsoft.com/kb/264299 )

The solution they gave was to remove the data key that stores the Windows coordinates but that was for the Word program. My problem is the Excel program.

Exce1 2003 is too old to be supported by Microsoft. Can anyone help me?

You could try cascading your windows:
open the Excel file, then right click on taskbar (at the bottom in the middle) and click on cascade.
If the windows that open include Excel, click to expand it (top right corner).

Thank you for your answer. I finally deleted the registry keys and now it works. I was afraid to do anything to the registry.

Thanks so much for your help!
