Excel Workbook - Lost buttons!

I have opened an Excel spreadsheet to discover that it has no "Close", "Minimise" (and the other one that changes the size of the page) buttons on the right at the top.......The spreadsheet is a quarter of the size of the screen........

What have I done? How do I maximise the Window without any buttons....?

I've spend ages looking for them, I even looked down the back of the sofa but all I found was a 2 pence piece, an old comb, a pen and my false teeth...

Help please?

Start by trying Tools -> Protection -> Unprotect Workbook. If that brings them back, the setting to recreate the issue, under Protect Workbook, would be to check the "Windows" box under "Protect Workbook for".
