Feature request.

Can you add k-meleon as one of the browsers?

 

I'll put it down on my list. After building the program , I started to consider multi-sync'ing but that would be pretty complicated to do as far as what conditions needed to be met when running.

I will download k-meleon and check out how their favorites work.

One thing, is it possible to make a version without requiring .NET framework? I know a good few people who I'm encouraging to use firefox, but more than one user uses the machine (which is on single user...). They're on dialup. I'm not sure I want to install .NET framework just for that!

I seem to remember there was an option (when I was trying to learn C#) to compile without the framework, provided you didn't use any framework reliant API calls. But if there isn't, no biggie

 

I'd have to build it in VB and it would be a royal pain just timing the changes in the filesystem itself. The .NET framework provides a filesystem watcher object for me and all I need to do is hook into its' events and run my process accordingly. Aside from that, I'm not really interested in building anything that is not .NET strictly because the focus of my new job will be building VB.NET apps.

Goldy, tell your friend to bite the bullet and just download .Net. There are quite a few apps showing up that require it.

Nice app Kodo. FireFox has an extension that will sync ITS bookmarks with IE's Favorites, but that only works in one direction (and will wipe out any IE Favorites that are NOT in your Firefox bookmarks). Yours is more versatile.

 

Cool idea for a program. it's simple, but i can see a lot of people using it since its quite handy. good work

Updates

Well this weeked is shot because my sister in-law is getting re-married. 4 days down.

Anyway, I am going to rewrite the application. I am getting a blog (I hate that term) so I can keep some sort of feedback going about the program, requests and other feedback about F2e-Sync and future programs that I plan to write.

I know this version isn't even out of Beta yet, but you guys gave me a slew of idea's just in the feedback in this thread alone. So I'm going to rewrite about 80% of it to support 1 to many syn'ing.

If you have requests for what browsers to support.. post it here for now until I get my "personal web-site" up and running
