Ugh, I miss those darned little .exe files!:cry So, does anyone have an alternative to wine to run them on Ubuntu?

Just plain, regular .exe files man! I use Game Maker and a friend of mine wants me to try out a game of his, but Wine isn't opening it up. I'm new to linux.

There will be certain things that will never work in Linux.

The alternative is to install a VirtualBox to run Windows with, requiring a valid Microsoft license.

There are many games sites, with flash games that will run fine within Linux.
