Exit windows install?

Hey everyone,
My computer is currently in a windows xp installation when I boot, but something happened to my CD, so I cannnot finish the install. It is installing because I used the repair tool, is there a way to exit the installation?

I tried safe mode, but I got an error: windows cannot boot in safe mode during windows xp setup.
Last known good config booted to the install thing.

Ok... I got an XP cd from a friend, but it does not work with install because it is a diffrent version. Is there a tool I can use to clean my hard drive and make a fresh xp install?

GOinto bios and set first boot device to cd-rom, you can reformat from cd. Be sure the cd is in the tray when you come out of bios when you save your settings. ed
