Explore vista program files

O/S VISTA HOME PREMIUM SP1 64 BIT PROGRAM FILES

How does one look inside (explore) a Vista program file. When I go to START/PROGRAMS OR ALL PROGRAMS everything listed is a short cut!

I'm trying desperately to install a driver to a program and I want to see if I'm successful.

 

Copy and paste one of these in the search box at the bottom of the start menu:

C:\Program Files (x86) - for 32 bit programs

C:\Program Files - for 64 bit programs

You may have better luck if you type the name of the driver in question in the search box as it may not end up in the program files folder.

Windows Explorer has to default to somewhere - it just happens to be Documents.

hmm not sure but why the default starting location is documents (user name\documents) thats the way its on mine to.

Never really bothered me since I rarely use the short cut to launch explorer most times I just use my computer or some were from my dock to start navigation

 

Well....I did what I most dreaded but everything turned out a-ok - I reloaded my system!
All's well that ends well!!!
