Explorer 8 freezing when downloading...

I recently had virus, trojan, hijacker, spywareonline, and some adwares, but they are all fixed, esp with help with safe mode and SuperAniSpyware..

Computer became fast and now I think everything is good, but whenever I download, the download window (the small one that pops up after u click download) always freeze and turns white, you put ur mouse on top and u will see sandglass.. it freezes about 5-10 seconds, affecting other tasks, so if you try to ignore and open another programs and whatnot, those will be slow down because of that stupid download thing is freezing. This happens regardless of the size of the file I'm downloading.

I have to admit the virus that I had and some of them were in exe extension files. I'm not realy sure but if I try to download exe files, it tends to freeze. If I try to dl other types of extension, it seems ok...

so do I still have a virus? should I reinstall explorer 8?
