explorer and WMP won't refresh

    WMP will only refresh what is in the CD drive only after I close it down and start it up again, explorer will only do it when I shut the PC down
    Even if I end task explorer.exe, it will still not refresh.
    WMP 11
    XP Pro 64 sp3

    i know some have heard of this issue, however I cannot find a fix and heard it would be fixed by SP 3...but when is that coming out?

    DOM, My apologies.
    all my workstations at work use pro 32 bit sp3 so I just typed from memory.
    64 bit does not have an sp3 yet to my knowledge. I am using sp2
