Thanks but no this is not the solution. As you can see we have provided the correct and full fix. If the user did what you proposed (and you assumed he had a Windows CD), he would not be able to login and he would no longer even have a Windows shell if he were able to login. The reason for that is that you copied compressed versions of userinit.exe and explorer.exe and overwrote the real file names with them and left them in compressed form. They cannot run in compressed form and need to be expanded. You should have used expand not copy

However the explorer.exe file was fine. Just the userinit.exe file had to be replaced and this user had backup copies already on his PC which was simple to copy and overwrite the modified userinit.exe which had been replaced by a renamed copy of explorer.exe. Also there were many other problems to be fixed as you can see from that thread.
