Explorer Errors

Hello,

I have recently had a problem with explorer.exe! Whenever I open it (My Docs, My Computer etc) it says there is an error and it wants me to Send Error Report or Dont Send it...

It is annoying, especially since I can't access any of my files easily.

Please help.

 

What operating system are you using and what specifically is the error?

 

Windows XP/SP2.

What is the error? That just says there is an error...you need to view the error to get the details. Click where it says click here. http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f368/star-n-abby/exerror.png

Also check your event viewer. Start > Settings > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer. Look for errors/warnings under applications and system. You can right click on them and choose properties for more info/details.

 

Oh.. Sorry, lol.

I clicked "Click Here" and it just came up with a new thing saying that explorer.exe had a problem and alot of writing? What do I do now?

Under Application there are what seem to be the errors i am talking about... They are "winlogon".

 

Post what it says on this screen. Specifically, appname, and modname.

I hope that's the right thing.

 

divxdec.ax is your culprit. Try uninstalling Divx.

 

DivX, what the hell... How does it have anything to do with Explorer? I know it says it does, but...

Also, I don't have DivX, although I have a Codec Pack which may contain DivX.
Should I uninstall that?
