explorer.exe crashing / wireless failing

    My explorer.exe keeps crashing. My wireless will not connect, but says the hardware is off, when I have the switch in the "on" position.

    My wireless card was replaced about two months ago.

    I have an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU - T7700 @ 2.4 Ghz

    2.39 Ghz 3.5 gb RAM

    Microsoft XP Pro 2002 Service Pack 3

    I went through your entire Malware removal guide. I had ran a Symantec anti virus scan before I went through your list and had 3 instances of the Trojan.ByteVerify virus.

    I am also having it intermittently tell me that it cannot locate my profile and starts me on a new profile.

    Any help you guys can give me would be great. I really appreciate your site very much and have used it many times to help me fix friends computers or mine. This is my first time having to bother you guys as I can usually get past whatever issue I have. Thanks for all of the help over the years.

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

    I'm sorry but you do not appear to be having malware problems. Your logs are all clean. I will be moving this back to the Software Forum.

    I suggest that you write down exact error messages that you get during crashes and post them. I also suggest that you get an Event Viewer log ( see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308427 ) and attach it so that people can look at it. It may help determine the reason for crashing. Seems to me like you have some Windows software issues or file corruption.
