    Hi and welcome to MajorGeeks.

What actually happens when you try a secure site, do you get an error message?

Do you have any firewalls or cookie programs?

When you try a secure site, do you get the cookie icon in the status bar? (at the bottom, little red icon like a stop sign)

One quick thing to try is,

Shut down Internet Explorer and Outlook Express.

Go to Control Panel, Internet Options, then clear your temporary Internet Files and delete all cookies as well as History.

Go to the Security tab, Internet, and click "Default Level" and apply.

Click the Advanced tab, and under Security, check all of the following boxes to select them:

    PCT 1.0
    SSL 2.0
    SSL 3.0

    Then click apply and OK.
