Explorer will no longer automatically close programs

Intenet Explorer will not automatically close programs when I click close. I get the"Program not responing" End Program message. When I end the program it closes Exployer and I have to reopen. I have Norton 360, Spybot and registry repair which don't detect any problem. How can this problem be connected?

Look in the events,click start, right click My Computer, click mannage, then click Event Viewer, and look at the exclamation marks for the problem - double click the event with the exclamation (s), and it will tell you what happened.
Then, ifyou need more help, come back, usually someone will try to help.

 

Just a couple of other things - Whhat operating system? XP, Vista ?
Have you explorer 7 ?- this is known to be a litle problamatic, at times, and some have uninstalled, and reverted to Explorer 6.
