Explorere.exe and DrWatson encountered a problem?

Hi.

this error is coming again and again:
"
Explorere.exe has encountered a problem and need to be closed.

AppName: Explorer.exe AppVer: 6.0.2900.2180

ModelName: Wininet.dll ModVer: 6.0.2900.2180 Offset: 00037d96

"

and after that this error is also coming:

DrWatson Postmortem Debugger has encountered a problem and need to be closed.

any guidance, instructions?.........................................so thanks

 

Explorer.exe is Internet Explorer as you can probably guess, and Dr. Watson is a windows program that creates a log of any error windows encounters for future use in troubleshooting.

If IE is crashing frequently, you may just need to clean up your computer with something like CCleaner and Iobit.

I may also be a malware issue, in which case you would want to follow the steps here and then post in the Malware Forum here.

Is there any pattern to the crashes? Are you doing any one thing in particular when you are having the problem, or is it seemingly at random? Are there any other odd things happening with your computer?

 

Explorer.exe is NOT Internet Explorer.
Internet Explorer is Iexplore.exe

Explorer.exe is Windows Explorer.

You're right, thank you for the correction Bazza.

That being the case, the OS & service pack you are using might be helpful, and you could also check to make sure you have all the available windows updates downloaded through microsoft as well.
