Windows Vista has a Visual Basic script built-in that will allow you to extend the trial period of Windows Vista by 30 days. You can use this script a total of three times which will extend your trial period up to 120 days. This process is known as "rearming" and it utilizes the "slmgr.vbs" script located at: "C:\Windows\system32." Using this script does not violate the Windows Vista End-User License Agreement.

Big deal, I know, but can anyone confirm?

Ya, it works though I did it somewhat differently. Type 'cmd' in search box then ctrl/shft+enter and then slmgr -rearm, takes about 30 secs to run.

Everything I've read and heard, it is indeed true.

It seems that the slmgr.vbs script is used for a lot of things:

Since it is .vbs, there may be other switches.
