I know this is an Old Time thing to Ask about Memory.

The 8088 CPU used the Expanded Memory Driver To use the EMS Window to Store Dada.

So if it was working on something and needed more Memory it would Load what it was Finished with into the EMS Window.

So it would have that Extra Memory to use now and yes I Understand all of this.

And you could Add Up to 64 MB Max with a Memory Card I Understand this to.
The the EMS Driver would Cut up the Memory you Add into 64 kB Chunks.

And it would Load Four 64 kB Chunks at a Time into the EMS Window.

And all Memory from 1. kB to 1. MB was used for the OS and Drivers.
And the 976 kB 1. MB Area was used for the BOIS Programs Area.

Then the 80286 CPU came out and it had the ExtenedMemory Driver.

The XMS Driver would now use the 976 kB to 1. MB Area as UMB.
And the First 64 kB or this UMB was used as the HMA.

But some Say the XMS Driver would Load Extra Memory it was using into her just like the EMS Driver would Load Extra Memory into the EMS Window.

    Is this Right?
