I cannot access my iomega desktop hard drive any longer. The message says that the disk in drive G is not formatted. Do you want to format it now? I said no and tried another computer with the same result. How can I retrieve the data from this external hard drive. :cry Thank you for your help.

Give Partition Wizard a try to see if finds the original partition. http://www.partitionwizard.com/help/partition-recovery.html Just use Full Disk and Quick Scan.

If it finds a large partition check the type (NTFS or FAT) and the Used/Free space to see if it looks correct from what you think should be there. Then double click the partition and see if your files are listed. If everything looks OK then you can try to recover the partition.

I was examining the AC adapter cord and noticed that one of the 4 pins was bent all the way down. When I went to gently straighten it out, it broke off. I am hoping if I replace this that the external hard drive should work. Now to find one to replace it. Any ideas? It is an iomega AC Adapter model no. DA-30C03, P/N: 31426900, S/N 549061764. Are there 4 pin AC adapter that might be compatible? Googling was unsuccessful.
    Thank you!
