External Hard Drive

external hard drive can only be read on windows ten computer but not windows 7 one

i think theres someway to free it up so its not connected to win 10 password but forgot how

the win 10 one has a small 32 gig drive so it seems ill have to format it every 4 months-if i do that without fixing drive can i do it later?

 

Have you checked that drive by plugging it into each of the USB sockets on the Win 7 system one by one?
Have you looked to see if it shows in disk management on Win 7?

ok thanks max that link fixed the drive solely with win 7

 

great - it should still work on Win 10 too

 

now i want to get onbord mouse back or do factory reset or turn off automatic updates

i know how to get to the page to do reset but maybe i wont

 

You should put that in a new separate thread and in that NEW thread explain the problems you are having leading to you wanting to do a reset. And you need to be very clear about which system (Win 7 or 10) that you are talking about. Clarity is essential.
