External Harddrive not recongized

    A While back I purchased an 80gb Western Digital External Harddrive, It worked fine until the other day, when I plugged it in to the USB port my computer did not recognize that there was anything even plugged in to it. I have nearly 40 to 50gb of music, videos, documents, etc. already on it, so you can see my concern. I don't want to lose the data already on it. What's can I do to fix this?
