external hdd

    hi
    ive just tried to attach a 200 gb external hdd usb
    the pc finds it ok
    but its on location0
    and it doesnt have an icon anywhere i can see (in my computer)
    How do i access it to use it:eek:
    do i need to do something else im usind xp sp2
    help please

    Right click on "my computer", select manage, then select disk management. Do you see it there?

    Is the device turned on?
