    Good morning all,
In the last couple of months i have aquired some new programs such as:
Adobe Reader 7.0.8 and Microsoft office 2003 (standard)
In my add and remove programs i still have:
Adobe Acrobat 5.0 I thought 7.0.8 was an upgrade do i still need 5.0 or should uninstall it?

I also still have Office premium 200 should i unistall it or leave it?

In addition i find that i have:
    J2SE runtime enviroment 5.0 update 6

Java 2 runtime enviroment standard v1.3.1

Java 2 runtime enviroment standard v1.3.1_02

Java 2 runtime enviroment SE v1.4.2_04

    Are all these necessary?
I am running out of hard drive space and trying to clean things up. Some of these are pretty large programs. I just ran ccleaner and it deleted 595 items but i did not gain any space. Any help would be GREAT.
    Thank you,
    Dan

I uninstalled Office 2000 to install Office 2003, but I have the CD. I didn't have any problems.
You don't need the older versions of Adobe or Java.
The newest Java is: Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 Update 8

You can always make copies or backups of the files and then proceed to uninstall the programs.

Yes, by all means make backups of the Adobe & Office 2000 files before you uninstall the programs. Actually...uninstalling the programs shouldn't delete the files...but just in case.
If you have any trouble viewing the older version files in your newer version programs we can help with that. I'm pretty sure Office will open the older files and offer to convert them to 2003...only had to do that once, so am not REAL sure. I really don't know if there will be any problems with the Adobe files...don't think so though.
    :)
