I'd heard of these but never seen any examples so as to appraise them properly. They are absolutely incredible. The detail of those fantasy works is especially impressive. The patience required must be infinite. Would love to see a sculpture up close, that is probably the only way to appreciate the enormous amount of work that goes into them. I never got past making sand castles with the kids. What a drag if it starts to rain half way through sculpting one, though. :cry

 

yeah those are amazing. ive seen some pretty cool sand castles in my time, but those go way beyond that. nice find.

 

to see them live and wonder at the size is truly fantastic.
We have a sand sculpture every year on the beach about 4 miles from where i live and it's always worth a visit.

WOW bill. the 1997 Zeebrugge is insane. i cant believe thats a sand sculpture.

 

Every year they have a theme but i have not heard yet what it is this year:confused
