f keys are always 2nd buttons ><

    need help i baught a dell xps 15 laptop and i use wireless on it and when gaming i keep hitting f2 and it turns off wireless really bothering me now .. anyhow i done some research and it says to turn off numlock ... but i dont have a numlock key on my laptop looked all over.... is there anyother way?

    tried using on screen keyboard and when i click fn normal f keys work i click numlock but no changes.

    any help would be great ... thanks in advance

    Hello,
    Go into the BIOS (F2 during the Dell screen) and then change:
    function keys from "Multimedia Key First" to "Function Key First"

    Edit: tgell's answer sounds like a good one. I didn't see it before posting.

    Are you sure you are hitting the f2 key when gaming and not the soft touch disable wireless button to the right of the power button (the middle soft touch button)?

    When you have turned of wireless while gaming does hitting just the f2 button without the fn button turn it back on? [I'm just trying to be sure that f2 always acts like fn +f2]
