Hello I had a question. I just tried going to facebook link of someones I know address. It came up hello visister msg from looks like FB. It says we respect and want to know about visitors. I did the 4 quick questions, nothing info stealing would do. And it said I had won and I had to choose 1 of 3 or 1 of 4 things. Tv, Computer, whatever else.. Then when I click what I wanted, it came up saying name, email, cell number thats working. I havnt filled this out because I was wondering if this is legit and I really won? Or just bs? when it showed those prices it had a number of how many was left next to them like tv 8 left pc 4 and etc..
So is this a real win? Or is this a joke? And I shouldnt enter my email or name and number! Or real win?

This is what it shows at end waiting for me to fill out info.

Aw dont tell me that I want the free pc:-D I figure so but I was just wondering if people that use FB would know more since I don't use it. There are places in past like this and its true but never from social site.

I haven't come across it on FB, but you know that there are no free rides. This is info that I would never give out in this manner.

Yes true I closed out long ago! I figure it was. But I was hoping FB might have had a real contest:)

There is no such thing. There is, however, a virus going around that comes in a supposed email from Facebook. That doesn't sound like this, but I still wouldn't do it. There is no reason for them to have any of your information if you don't belong.

silas be very wary with face book pop-ups etc.
My sis received an inbox message from a FB contact. IIRC something to the tune of " Is this you in this video" and a link.
    Of course she clicked :-D

    Bada Bing Bada Boom:-D

Got hit by koobface:-D Before she new it- it was sending out ditto messages to her Fb contacts :eek

Avira would find and delete. On reboot it was back! Needless to say her contacts on FB were getting rather P**d off:-D
Had her go through the Read & Run Me.

Like most people directed to the R&R- she skipped most of the instructions:zzz
I get a whining call, (long distance in the middle of the night) "It did not work"!!

Told her to take her time and go over it again. Dunno whether it was toggling sys restore or show hidden files but she worked it out.

Her next post on FB- "It's clean, I ran MBAM". Much to the adulation of the rest of her contacts still infected. LOL

    Cheers..

Hello and good morning :wave for very for short time :zzz Woke up to drink something and smoke ciggy/check forum! Yes yes :-o FB is a very bad place and well known for scams and theats. I remember when Myspace got big years ago, I kept telling my roomate at that time not to use it and not specially no posting pictures of them or family or atleast me on there. Everyone thought I was nuts and just "watch to match news" (now back then I liked computers and all the crap that goes with it) Well eventually my sister acct got hacked, few friends accts, pictures and info all on it. Now its not right but I had to lie to Myspace cause they would not delete the acct because it was active and I didnt have the email to it in my hands... So eventually told them just atleast take pics off. But yes very bad sites that can cause more harm then fun IMO.

A bit off-track, but about Zynga Games, a Facebook affiliate.
I play Vampire Wares on Facebook.
On the Combat page there is a defect that is known to Zynga.
Attack somebody that shows a clan of, say 65. After the attack they may show as high as 350. Has happened to me.
Posted about this on their forum. Asked if off-duty Microsoft workers were involved in the development of the game.
Must have hit close to the mark. Received a warning that this violated the "Rules of Conduct"
Problem has been ongoing for several months with 50+ pages of people complaining, but nothing being done.

    Done ranting.
