Fake Spyware Infections.(need Help)

Hi

Im new to these forums

bassically ive got a fresh format of XP pro sp2. my problem is constant popups from IE about SYSTEM DEFENDER (SUM OTHER FAKE SPYWARE CRAP)

i also gett a flashy system icon down below which pops up every few mins saying "Security Alert: (virus or net work or crap etc)

i also have to applications on my desktop that continue to spawn even after removing their exe's.
