FakeMSN8Beta issue

I recently got the FakeMSN8Beta spyware on my computer, and right away Windows Defender found it and stopped it.

There is no Hijackthis file on my computer anymore, one of many virus and spyware removers removed it. I do beleive anyways.

umm I have run:
~Windows Defender, that found nothing
~Ad-aware SE
~Anti-Vir
~Spybot S&D

after going through lenghty scans, and finding "FakeMSN8Beta" in Spybot S&D
and "fixing" it, it still comes up every time I scan.

With 2 registry files identified: (These I have found are common in the FakeMSN... [spyware/virus])
(close to actual location, might be wrong) C:\\WINDOWS\System32\*\csrss.exe
(and another similar name, with csrss.exe as the end)

Help me please, it wont go away

I would edit my post, but I am not getting any "Edit" button...

The only results of spyware/malware/grayware/virus scans has come from Spybot Search and Destroy. Now I have read numerous articles, and other Threads on this website regarding the same issue, but with slightly different situations. And it seems the only issue left to be fixed, is the registry file: csrss.exe.

I have tried to do the registry editing, but about 2 seconds after I "run" "regedit" it closes on me. This is about as far I have gotten with this problem.

Pop through these steps and post the requested logs at the end,

- Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support

Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

- Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:

When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too (these scans are covered in steps 6 & 7 of the READ & RUN ME sticky)
