False positives for Adaware with latest update

    I am 99% sure that the latest update of Adaware has caused two false positives on my system. Don't kill yourself trying to fix the Bargainbuddy and the ?trojan.agent? (something like that) registry entries that Adaware will want to remove from your system. I would suggest you go to Lavasofts user forum for an update.

    If you attach a log from Ad-Aware it would provide more supporting data for what you are stating.

    I just downloaded the latest Adaware definition file and low and behold the two recurring malware registry entries are no longer on my system.

    I would be happy to post the log. I can locate the log for spybot but I cannot find a log for Adaware. I am using the free version. Can you tell me where to look?

    It sort of doesn't matter any more but the logs are saved to where ever you have it configured to save them. By the User customized scanning options click Customize then click the General button. See where it says to Write logfiles to
