Family Photos

Removed once again. Rules are rules and there's a good reason for it...one being the option is ONLY enabled so members can upload and update their pics on their own rather than using the system we had before where one person was responsible for updating our 'yearbook' of members pics. Another being many people put up inappropriate images (porn, etc.) and finally, it's a specific rule from the site owners.

For those that continually upload images not within the guidelines thus showing a blatant disrespect for this sites rules, the privilege to use the option is removed.

 

Sorry, I don't understand. Was something removed? Do we need to stop posting photos?

 

My previous post was about member profile pictures not pictures posted in this thread.

Per the site owners, member profile pictures are just that. A picture of the member not random images, animations etc. Miscellaneous images are removed and if it's a case of having to remove the image more than once, an image is uploaded in it's place explaining the policy. If the member continually uploads miscellaneous images once being made aware of the policy, the option to change their profile picture is removed for a period of time, in some cases permanently.

I see, thank you, I was looking all over for something about that. Strange thing to do. I go to great extremes NOT to look like that, loosing the battle.
We have cow chip tossing contests here ( have not participated). Just as bizarre.

Yes, I would have found it. I check the member list every day for inappropriate content going back (by last visit) to when I last checked it and remove what doesn't belong there. Yesterday was the first day in a very, very long time I didn't check simply b/c my mouse died Monday or Tuesday. While I know most of the keyboard shortcuts to not use a mouse I don't know them all so haven't been at my puter much due to pure frustration.

Going to get a new mouse today...whaoooooo! LOL

Just out of curiousity, how would you know if someone has posted a picture of him or herself?

Generally it's a no brainer b/c people upload pics that are commonly seen on the net, anime, porn, cartoon characters, pics of inanimate objects, people in the media, etc. I've only had one situation where I wasn't sure and was lucky enough to deal with a member who was honest about it. Unfortunately many hide behind their keyboards and couldn't speak the truth if their life depended on it. In those cases (1) it's a judgment call.

Added to that...most members who post give away enough about themselves it's not hard to figure out if it's a legit pic or not.

Since you're a glutton for pictures, here's me, my sister, and my parents from last Christmas. I've changed a bit since Christmas.

 

Nice looking family. Yeah wasn't that clip cool. I realize there are people that wouldn't be seen for love or money but theres, I'm sure amusing photos like kids, pets those are always great. I scanned and burned all my photos, just in case! Now can't find them. Hoping they're still in storage. Have a couple really comical of grandchildren.
