Fan Problem

Hi, whenever my cpu heats up, my fan comes on and when the fan comes on weird things start to happen, such as the music or video im playing at the time keeps freezing or skipping. Is there a way I can resolve this

 

I think the reason the music or video starts skipping is because the CPU is overheating, or the memory is overheating, or there may be another problem (like a possible hard drive issue). I don't think the fan is the cause of the skipping video/music. Check the BIOS settings for the CPU fan and change them so the fan is always on the highest setting. This will prevent it from ever getting above a certain temp (hopefully). Go to the Memory section here at Major Geeks and download a memory diagnostic and run it for an extended amount of time (like overnight). I prefer the bootable diagnostics but the choice is yours. You should also run a system monitoring tool (I like HWMonitor) and see what the system temperatures and voltages are doing. Post the results from HWMonitor and we'll see if something is obviously amiss. Take the readings while the PC is doing different things, like at idle, when running videos, etc....
