Fast downloads, Slow browsing!!!!!

so the last couple of days ive been experiencing this issue.

i have a 1.5Mbps connection running through a Belkin modem,

i can reach speeds of 150+kbps when im downloading....

but yet i try and bring up google in a browser and i get 15 minutes wait before i see anything... my ISP are all slow as dog shit and they get me to do all the things ive done 3 times over.... so its just a waste of time. does anyone have any ideas... any fixes they have heard anything..

any help would be greeatly appriciated.

 

If you could give alittle more information about the problem like:-

• Are you downloading when your browsing?

• Are you using torrents or Newsgroups?

• Does this happen any time of day?

I know this does not give you a solution but if you can give as much information a you can then people on here will be in a better place to help you.

nah not doing anything its all turned off...

the only thing running is an IE browser....

ist an interesting one... DNs is resolving to a place it prob shouldnt.... so thats one thing to look at...

150kbps? Wow, do you live in Afganistan? Thats less than 20KB download speed, I can imagine that their DNS servers suck badly. You can try the malware removal guide from this forum, find a buddy with a laptop and have him try out your connection, and if it's not you, complain and eventually change ISP.
