Favorite Recipes

With Abby and Shadow_Puter_Dude sharing recipes with us, I thought it would be a good idea for everyone to share some of their favorite recipes. I love trying new recipes, especially ones that others have tried and liked.
I have one here now to start, but will be adding more as I dig thru my recipes (they are a mess). the best ones are the the ones that are all torn up.

Please add some for others to try and share.

Just have to add to mine you could even break up little candy canes to put in them for something different. So much you can do with this recipe.


I do hope someone else enjoys this recipe. Is easy, they stay soft. A good recipe to use to freeze some, and take out when needed.

ohh...those cookies sound good. I still need to get my hands on my grandmothers recipe tablets. My mom was going to go through them and copy certain recipes for those of us that wanted them...obviously she can't do that now My grandmother and I used to bake together every holiday....Chrismas and Easter were always a 2 - 3 day event. We had so much fun...I really miss it but I have the rolling pin she got when she married that we used all the time...thing is awesome...I love using it...first couple of times I pulled it out I cried..now it just makes me smile

Oiy!...got side tracked down memory lane The point of the recipe tablets...my gramma had recipes that were her mothers and so forth..old, old recipes and were they awesome!

In the mean time..here's my Jalapeño Dip recipe. Every time we go someplace I get asked to bring it and Chris gets requests at work for me to make it so he can bring it in...lol My mother (and Chris, along with a few others) who don't like hot, spicy foods or hot peppers even eat this...they love it!

 

Hey Sis...drop the "Dream Cake" recipe on these folks... .Your son was askin` me yesterday where it was lmao and I hadda admit I never even thought of it. Man...the kid can eat.

@ Sasquatch..wish I could....I made it so many times I have it pretty much memorized..just can't remember the quantity on 2 ingredients....when all my stuff was taken that included my recipes. Hence, another reason I want Grandma's recipe tablets sine mom can't go through them now Gee...,you or dad could mail them to me...I can then go through and scan them or type out the ones that needed tying, put them on disc and send them out to the family members that want them.

 

Describe `em to me and Ill see if I can track them down ok? Of course I`ll have to go through them meself to make sure there`s nothing there I want that I don`t already have. Of course there were some things that I thought were perfectly dreadful(kluski, for one)but there`s so much that wasn`t. Like the Easter Sweetbread......<thud>
