favorites being hijacked and dso exploit

Everytime i log in my favorites get overrun with sites I did not add. Also, I seem to be having trouble removing DSO exploit...spybot finds it and fixes it, but when I RUN IT AGAIN IT FINDS IT AGAIN. I am running xp and start up and shut down are taking a long time. I am also getting a end program wait on shut down from a Win Min...what is this?
If anyone can help me with any of these issues I would really appreciate it!

 

About the DSO exploit, update your version of Spybot to the latest version. It will fix this bug in IE.

http://www.majorgeeks.com/images/grenade.gif Do NOT run Hijack This from the Desktop, a temp folder, or a sub-folder of C:\Documents and Settings, or choose to run it directly from the ZIP file as your backups will not be safely stored.

Thanks for the tip on spybot. I had 1.3 tx, did not see 1.4.

I have run the hijackthis as instructed, but did not post log. If I can't fix it I will do this. Will this clear up my favorites?

You may have to manually remove the favorites, it would be a good idea to attach a HJT log to be confirm your clean. Its up to you though!
