I used to have Norton Anti virus protection, and switched to Panda.

Now its time to renew, BUT i HAVE A FEAR OF KEYSTROKE LOGGERS THAT MIGHT GET INTO MY COMPUTER.

Which is the BEST program can I buy, that also has that protection?

    What do you guys recommend?????

I'm not rich, so price IS an object, but fear of potential ID theft safety is too .

please reply to my e mail addy ...as I'm not that clever to be sure of getting back to this thread for certain....sigh .... It is : hunter10039 at infostations.com

to Mark, or anyone else re: several anti-virus, firewall, protections etc.on my computer....

Mark suggested 3 different products from 3 different companies to be used.

wouldn't they CONFLICT with each other?

and if i'm a relative novice...how would i know how to set and operate them harmoniously?

I once tried a free AV .....but it kept asking me questions like: whether to allow? or not allow? and i didnt have the foggiest notion of an answer....sigh

    i'm so savy-illeterate.

Trend Micro Internet Security Suite 2008 has keyboard encryption, but I dumped it after 6 months of the twelve month subscription, on three computers. If the keystrokes are intercepted between the keyboard and the operating system it won't be of any help. I recall that it operates with Internet Explorer. A scan I did with it picked up a keylogger I had installed. http://www.majorgeeks.com/Visage_PC_Surveillance_d1070.html I usually surf with the latest version of Firefox and the no-script add-on. Reinstall Windows XP about monthly on my desktop box, nlite made that chore a walk in the park. Mainly need to password protect your system and have it for your own personal use, if others in the house need to use it, get them another system, on the cheap... I don't use an anti virus on my system, but the router connection is encrypted and online armor free is picking up the slack. For your own sanity use one firewall, and one anti virus, and look before you click. The internet is hell on wheels, especially seeing it through Windows.

" hunter i don't thing mark was suggesting you use all three products at once he just gave you links to a few as suggestions of what he feels are good products you can use just research them all and select one that you feel meets your needs me myself i use AVG 8 free as my antivirus and zone alarm 8.0 firewall free these two products together work fine. at first installation of the firewall you will be prompted to allow or block programs as they run but once you allow these programs and every thing settles the prompts will stop
