Feelin really dumb..........

Hey...obviously new here...on my fourth download and so far successful at ONE!

Anybody out there feel like helping with some really basic stuff about firewall downloading? Right now I'm on here with no firewall and no virus protection...trashed my McAfee crap and AOL Privacy Wall after it crashed my computer twice.

Tried downloading 'Jetico Personal Firewall' just now and had another problem.

Anyone feel like answering a few of questions?

The program is asking for configuration settings...IP ADDRESSES; LOCAL NETWORK ADDRESSES WITH LONG NUMBERS; AND I am clueless about what to do in this area? It also would finish the download because it could not "extract two files"?

Any suggestions on a download for a windows 98 OS; and what do I put in fro 'configuration' if asked again? I do not have any firewall prtection right now.

Hey...I liked it better too and downloaded it first, when almost done the program said it didn't work with windows 98...or something like that!

 

I'll give it a try right now...you're a prince! I'll let you know!
