I'm not sure where to post this; but since it has occurred during my process of understanding FileZilla "client" and my many attempts to set up various "themes" onto my BlueHost account, I'm thinking maybe I've done something that caused it. I am hoping one of you wonderful geeks in here can help me understand and get it stopped before real damage occurs.

A little history. I just purchased space at BlueHost to set up my "motdaugrnds.com" account. I have not set it up yet. I spent about a month trying to get their free "themes" to work for me, all to no avail. So I downloaded the File Zilla "client" so as to create my own html pages. (I've done this in the past but it has been quite a few years ago and it was with a different FTP program; so I've been going slowly.) Still I have not...not...uploaded anything I've created. Thus, my account at BlueHost only has the pertinent information for their billing department and the last free theme I activated onto it, which I tried to use and was unable to due probably to my own stupidity.

In the meantime, I've been corresponding with BlueHost about it all and on occasions have received emails from motdaugr@box440.bluehost.com supposedly helping me know what is occurring as I've not had to reply to them. (Please know I've not set up any email accounts at my site there yet.)

This morning I received an email from motdaugr@box440.bluehost.com to my home address, i.e. ...(thought best not to put open in a post)...@hughes.net with the subject being "Please moderate: "Motdaugrnds". This email stated "a new comment on the post "Motdaugrnds" is waiting for your approval" and it shows the hyperlink of http://motdaugrnds.com/2013/0810/motdaugrnds/ with the author being "rift gold (IP:216.244.86/130.216.244.86.130). The email showing inside this letter is "hsovlxhs@aol.com" (without the " around it), the url was http://www.u7buy.com/rift/ the "Whois" being http://whois.arin.net/rest/ip/216.244.86.130 and the comment is about that party's loving the "...best wisteria pink bailey keys..." (I don't even know what these keys are.)

Inside this letter are several hyperlinks "http://www.u7buy.com/rift/ and places it is suggesting I click to:

    Approve it ... hyperlink
    Trash it ... hyperlink
    Spam it ... hyperlink

The message ends with a statement, i.e. "Currently 1 comment is waiting for approval. Please visit the moderation panel:" followed by another hyperlink that looks like it actually might take me to my personal site there at BlueHost that I, alone, should be able to act on.

I have sent a copy of this email to BlueHost "billing department" and have also sent an inquiry about it to the BlueHost service team asking them how someone other than myself can access my account there at BlueHost when I have not even set up an email account as yet nor actually done much of anything to it.

I'm sorry this was so long. I just didn't know how to explain it in any shorter way. Can anyone help me understand this and make a constructive suggestion as to what I need to do to assure the safety of my email address?

I just heard from BlueHost. The above email I received is one of the services BlueHost offers to me for my account so as to deal with any responses my site may receive. I've already dealt with it; so all is good now.
