ffffffff.fff virus removal help

    Hi all,

    I have the ffffffff.fff virus on my flash drive and all the files have been changed to the ffffffff.fff with a file size of 1.59GB name, some are quite important.

    can you help me recover the files ie rename all the files back from ffffffff.fff to their original names and remove the virus please!

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

    I'm sorry but I do not know of any fix for this. Also this appears to be an infection that is only occurring in Spanish speaking countries ( many parts of South America ). There are Spanish speaking forums that may have possibly had to deal with this already.

    There may be infections on your PC or USB drive to remove, but I do not know of any recovery mechanism for the renamed files.
