File delete software

The kids got some garbage on my computer that I don't really want (and truly don't need). I got an index file cleaner that was supposed to clean all of the deleted files off my computer... unfortunately, a program that I have that undeletes things still has everything on the computer.
Is there any software that will permenantly delete everything I have deleted, and make them unrecoverable?

when installed in options settings set the security level to gutman 35 passes ,you could also run the wipe free space setting found at the bottom of the windows tab under advanced settings.this feature should be unchecked when finished as it takes a long time depends on the size of your drive and don't panic i will seem to use up all your free space but that will revert back to normal when finished.

CCleaner is a very good option for cleaning up leftovers but the leftovers you are trying to remove might need a registry cleaner (CCleaner has one), but they can be very dangerous unless you are very confident you know what is being removed. So I am not suggesting using one.

In the future you might consider using Revo Uninstaller as a replacement to the Add/Remove Programs feature built into Windows. Revo is free and is very thorough.
