Have digital cameras (Kodak Easyshare and CanonPowershot S3IS). I record video with them, load them onto my pc (win xp). When sending video to others, only sound comes thru, no video. File format--codec...not sure what it is called...(ex: jpeg) is ".mov". Need educated. How do i know if my system supports this .mov? How do I change it, if possible? Is there a website to download other codecs? Cannot burn videos onto dvd or cd...comes up blank. Only file name appears. No movie. No sound. Nothing. Any information appreciated. thanks.

.mov is a Quicktime Movie. You need to have Quicktime installed to view .mov files.
If you want to transcode files without having to pay for the pro version, or if you simply do not like the Quicktime Player, you can also download Quicktime Alternative. It will install as a normal video codec. WARNING: do not install Quicktime AND Quicktime Alternative.
