File lost during repair installation of XP.

After repairing XP Home my files appeared to be ok.

However, the first level of subfolders in My Documents were there but in My Pictures one of its subfolders was missing; other sub folders in it were intact.

I did a search for the missing sub folder but nothing was discovered.

What happened?

 

I don't remember seeing a notification about renamed files.

I have downloaded Free Undelete but it has not coughed up anything interesting or useful.

I may bite the bullet and start afresh.
