I need to set up file sharing between 6-8 computers where if one person drags a file to the shared folder it will be shared with everyone on the network. All of the computers run XP except one that runs Vista and they are all connected to the internet through the same internet connection. I have tried using my network places on XP but I had to have different folders for each user. And I don't want to have to have 6-8 different folders for everyone.

You could turn on Public folder sharing in Vista's Network and Sharing Center.
This should allow Vista's Public folder to be open to the network.
You could then map that folder and create a shortcut on everyone's desktop for fast 1-click access.
