Ok guys so my son has a laptop with Vista and he has some videos that he wants to give me. I want to try and send them through my wireless network. My machine has XP. My machine sees hes computer and the files but it says I don't have permissions to do this. My son informs that none of his stuff on his laptop is protected. What are you guys thoughts?

home networking is quirky between vista and xp. best bet would be to set your shared folder on the xp maching to read and write capability. then you can just use the vista computer to find the xp machine and copy that way.
