FILE SHREDDER help,please

First my apologies.I sent wrong info in wrong forum.My Bad:-o

I use File Shredder 2.5 version.I also use the Shred Free Disk Space.I have no problem wiping the D drive.It displays 100%,finishes,says complete then stops.When I do the C drive it will say 100% and keep running for hours.I have to manually stop the program.
I use the 35 or 7 wipe method.Currently I tried the one pass method and same thing is happening.100% shows and it has been running over one hour.
I have 11 yr old HP running XP,IE8,SP3 with AVG.THANK YOU MG for keeping me running safe and fast all these years.

Any help is always appreciated.

THANK YOU and amen,brother for Kernel shredder.Always annoyed that recycle bins were opened by Internet Explorer.I deleted them,but they just came back with new ID.Excellent advice and excellent program.
