I have networked two computers (desktop and laptop) over a wireless network. I can see and access both computers from the other computer and everything appears to be working fine. However, when I try to transfer the files from the laptop to the desktop, I keep getting errors saying access denied. I am mostly interested is transferring all the picture folders/files but would prefer getting all the things in "My documents". Is there any way that I am blocking it? The firewall is turned off and I have sharing set on the folder. Should I try to buy a cable to connect them directly? Or should the wireless work fine? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    Dan

    Both computers use Winows XP
    IBM laptop and HP desktop

if its saying access denied, it could be a permission problem. check your permissions in the shared folder to make sure youre giving access to the files. and if youre not on the admin account, you should make sure that you have permissions to even access shared files.
