    Hi, I am having an issue with a file that is on my computer. for some reason it embedded itself in a folder and is calling itself System Volume Information (which it is not) It was a hidden dir inside another dir. I have tried to delete this directory (it is empty), but it will not let me do it.. I tried to do it from DOS , and it still will not let me do it. I have tried to startup with a boot CD, but that is not working either.. (Maybe the Boot CD is wrong, but I tried to make it from a boot Floppy) My computer doesn't have a floppy drive on it, that is why I need a CD. Can anyone help me with this situation..

    I think the file got on my computer when I was trying to retrieve files from a backup.. Some how it will not let me delete it... The other files have been removed that where there before...

    Thanks for your help..

    You can try : Pocket KillBox
    Save it to its own folder somewhere.

    Run Pocket Killbox by doubleclicking on killbox.exe
    Choose Tools > Delete Temp Files and click Delete Selected Temp Files.
    Then after it deletes the files click the Exit (Save Settings) button.
    NOTE: Pocket Killbox will only list the added files it is able to find on the system. So when you do the below, if some files do not show in the list after pasting them in, just continue.

    Select:

    * Delete on Reboot
    * then Click on the All Files button.*(or on the folders option)*
    * Please copy the file paths below to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose copy):

    *Put in the path to the folder*

    * Return to Killbox, go to the File menu, and choose Paste from Clipboard.
    * Click the red-and-white Delete File button. Click Yes at the Delete on Reboot prompt.

    If you receive a PendingFileRenameOperations prompt, just click OK to continue (But please let me know if you receive this message!).

    If Killbox does not reboot just reboot your PC yourself.

    Tell me if that works.
