FileResearchCenter, safe to download??

This is safe. This is simply a database of processes and filenames for research. That said I did see:

"To identify what is running on your computer, we must install an FileResearchCenter.com/SuperAdBlocker.com native Mozilla/FireFox plugin that contains no spyware, adware or any other malicious or harmful software. "

And installing ActiveX nowadays as a general rule is quite simply a very stupid move on their part especially considering there are a ton of websites that you can look up the same information without it, for example: http://www.processlibrary.com/

So, while I feel it is safe, shame on them for installing an ActiveX add on when it just seems like you don't need it. So my recommendation is to find your info elsewhere.
