    Greetings, greybuffalo.

.Jpg is probably the best all-around image format. In order to reduce the size, use a program such as IrfanView to get rid of the extraneous data and to compress the .jpg code.

For example: if I open a 125kb 1024x768 .jpg with IrfanView, save the file with a 'Save Quality' of 85% and get rid of the EXIF and IPTC data (the camera data in the code), the file size is reduced to 91.8kb with no noticeable loss of visual quality.

Thais similar to Image resizer,I guess.
    I read wiki's explanation for ISO's.:confused
Anyone know Is there a program that converts files to iso and burn's them? or should I just make them also lower quality in order to fit more dvds on a disc for my old lady to watch over the waters.
When I use my regular dvd player,at a squeeze I can fit more than 6 hours on one,so I guess what I;m saying is,I should just reduce the quality,Im not sure if iso files will play on a regular dvd player?

    To sum up my rambling,
Im good on the images, just a little confused on burning maximum onto a dvd disc

Tried this recently, good bang for the buck. Winrar will extract the files from an iso if needs be. As I prefer lossless files
it is a winner with me. Use flac for audio files, compression level 8, kind of a compressed wav file. jpg is a good choice for quality in a smaller file
but a TIFF or RAW might have more to offer a photo bug...Been comparing file/folder compression programs recently, 7zip seems a good choice, although only have winrar installed at the moment.

I use ImgBurn, user friendly, free, works great. It lets you create Image from files. http://majorgeeks.com/ImgBurn_d4870.html
