    Hello! You guys/gals Rock!
You’ve helped me so many times in the past, my appreciation for you is beyond infinity.
    Here is the situation:
Bought a new Dell desktop PC with windows 8.1 in 2014.
Received free upgrade to windows 10 from Microsoft last week

The problem: Microsoft office 2013 needs to be reactivated with the product key. I received the Microsoft office 2013 through a download when I bought the PC and all that information is long gone. I didn’t think to write it down. I was able to get the last five digits of my product key by running a script in the command prompt. (by way of online help forums)

Is there a way to get the whole product key from my computer without using third party software? Or is there a software that will display the actual product key?
    Thank you so much!

Belarc Advisor is a super tool for discovering detailed information about both your hardware and software, including revealing product keys.

Eldon and Earthling, do these programs work on Office 2013?
I don't have it installed so have no way of testing.
From my reading, not all programs work on the Office 2013 key so that's why I changed from suggesting a program and went to what MS Office support said to do.

plodr, here's a snapshot of which editions of Microsoft Office is supported by MSKeyViewer Plus.
It also supports Windows 95 to 8.1, 32-bit & 64-bit editions, and all SPs. It's an amazing portable program.

Eldon, looks to me like plodr is right to question this, despite what your program claims. From what I'm reading, starting with Office 2013 MS stopped storing the full product key on the system and only stores the final five digits, which you can use as a search term to find any emails you may have concerning your licence. Source here.

Plodr, thanks. I don't have the product installed either and must admit I just assumed Belarc would find it as it finds all previous versions.

I had a problem years ago with an Office 2K install. Nothing and I mean nothing would find the product key because MS coded it differently from all the other versions. So, I wouldn't put it past MS to change the way it codes one of its Office offerings.

plodr, you're correct. Only the last 5 digits of MSO 2013 are displayed. I missed it. :-o

Thank you Eldon. I tried the MSKeyViewer Plus and it gave me all BBB’s and the last five digits of the key, which I already have.

I used the suggestion from Plodr and got the same last five digits of my product key.

I tried to run the Belarc Advisor from my desktop and I get a windows smart screen message stating that the app is unrecognized and it will not run the Belarc. Is there a way to turn off the smart screen?
    Thank you so much :)

I love how MS dances around the issue.
So what happens to people who do not fall into the many cases category and need the entire key to install Office?

I'm paranoid about writing down serial numbers, printing out emails in which serial numbers are given and saving emails when registration info is given.

    Thank you Earthling,
Smart screen is now turned off. I ran Belarc and it produced a product key with twenty digits except for the last five (which I already have) I entered the product key with all the digits twice and I got a message stating the product key entered was not recognized as a valid key. Please advise on what to do next?

If the link I posted earlier, here, doesn't help then all I can suggest is to ring Microsoft and explain what has happened. The article does explain that only the last five digits are stored on your computer so if you are certain you have no record of any of this then Microsoft is your only hope.
